Featured Artist Bios:
Will C. – Through abstraction, Will approaches a broad spectrum of subjects in a conceptual multi-layered way. His work draws viewers deep into the realms of color and texture, creating visual experiences that insight pause and reflection. Devoted to constantly evolving his process and vision Will employs unique methods and media to bring his visions to the canvas. The many tools he uses to create range from aerosol, brushes and knives with acrylic paints, to bare handed work with novel compounds and raw mineral pigments. By harnessing the harmonic powers of color and form to extract images from the ethereal realm Will is able to create intense personal moments accessible to all. The dynamic contours, intricate textures and use of color combine to impel a multifaceted interpretation for each painting. Will C. currently works out of Greendoor Studio in Burlington, Vermont.

Nikki Laxar – Born in Burlington, Vermont, Nikki continues to create her art and raise her family here. She graduated Essex High School and Tech Center in 2003 and is a self taught artist. Her studio is located in the South End Arts District within The Space Gallery on Pine St. Discovering the magic of watercolor in 2013 and became hooked to the medium instantly. Ever since, she has blended her talent of detailed ink illustrations with watercolor pigments to create a whimsical line of animal inspired reproductions and stationary goods. She works with acrylic paint to create in depth celestial creations and calming moon phases. She is currently exploring surrealism art through experimenting with hand cut collage.

Steve Sharon – Born 1977, Steve is an abstract painter, musician and mixed media artist living in North Hero, VT. Stephen started painting 12 years ago when he decided to shift his focus into making visual art. His paintings involve a deep and heavy process of color and application. The movement in Steve’s paintings are a dance of color springing across the canvas in directions that are playful and carefully thought out. In 2020, The Vermont Art Council named him to be an artist to look out for on their list of 7 up and coming artists and was featured in their magazine release and art show in their gallery in Montpelier. He sells his art work all over the country from coast to coast and all spots in between.

Scottie Raymond – Scottie “SK1” Raymond, a member of Anthill Collective and resident artist at Green Door studio, is a graffiti writer, painter and tattooer. His work is inspired by abstract art, typography and graffiti lettering, combining aerosol, latex and other mixed media.

Brian Clark (Aka Capes) – Inspired by graffiti from a young age my love of spray paint is expressed in my canvas work. I mix vivid colors, imaginative concepts and a variety of aerosol techniques that I have learned over the years. I have a few card tricks but no tape or stencils were used in creating this piece.

Amber Harvey – Is a painter born and raised in Vermont. She is a self taught artist who first started art for its therapeutic values. She aims to recapture the beauty in the moment which includes the light and setting of landscapes and still life. Her passion and perseverance has led her to new creative possibilities as well as being an instructor for paint and sips. She teaches students painting techniques and also guides them to spark their own creativity. To her, creating art is a priority as well as a passion.
Cousin Dave – A long-time stalwart of the Vermont DJ scene, Cousin Dave always aims to please. With a
unique blend of pitched-down house and downtempo that’s drenched in soul, funk, and, disco.

Kyle Thompson (also known as Fattie B.) of Burlington, Vermont has been a DJ, MC, author and visual artist for over 35 years. He has recently added the title of author to his repertoire.
Under the name STEEZ ART, Thompson has sold canvases, clothing
and accessories featuring his iconic acrylic painting artwork (work
inspired equally by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and hip-hop’s golden
era). His bold and inspired art can be purchased as posters and
prints and are distributed and sold worldwide by PYRAMID in stores
such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target and Urban Outfitters. Thompson
also currently has an on-going original acrylic painting show on-going at Jan Larsen Gallery in Brooklyn, NY and Japan.
DJ Kev fuses a seamless party vibe from his eclectic record collection. From chill downtempo to hip-hop to jazz infused funky breaks, DJ Kev’s selections are tailored to make you vibe and nod your head. He will curate a special set of positive vibrations at the dispensary during his art hop performance. A dose of herb infused reggae, hip hop and mad blunted jazz. A celebration for all the kind buds.
